The Indonesian island of Bali is surrounded by beautiful beaches. One beach is quiet and large. The other beach is small and very busy. Every beach is different, surrounded by rocks and only accessible via a long steep staircase, or vast and endless. My five favorite beaches in Bali at a glance!
1. Dreamland Beach in Bali
As soon as you see this beach, you will know why it is called Dreamland. It is beautiful to see! The Dreamland estate is still under construction; in a few years, it will become the new tourist epicenter. Until then, it is still relatively quiet, especially in the morning. The rough sea around Dreamland attracts many surfers and bodyboarders. Go to the right as much as possible and enjoy it!
2. Echo Beach
A little above Seminyak, near the town of Canggu in Bali, you will find Echo Beach. A wonderfully massive and full beach. There are several Warungs and beach bars where you can eat well, and around four o’clock, the beanbags and live music will appear. Because it is nice and big, you can always find a place to lie quietly.
3. Padang Padang in Bali
Padang Padang is the most beautiful beach in Bali. The location is fantastic, sandwiched between the high rocks. However, it is also very busy, and surfers love this small beach because the waves are perfect. In the morning, it is not too bad with the crowds, and then it is delicious on Padang Padang. If only you could have this beach to yourself.
4. Uluwatu Beach
The most special beach in Bali is, without a doubt, Uluwatu Beach. You climb down a long steep s
taircase, and between the rocks, you will find several small beaches. If you do not come here to surfers yourself, you will still feel like it. Uluwatu is the place for surfers, the whole climb down you come across dozens of surf shops and on the small beaches it is quite quiet because everyone is waiting in the sea for a new wave. Make sure to stay here in the afternoon for the sunset and for night you can go with nearby luxury villa rental in bali. Have a drink at Single Fin, and enjoy the view!
5. Batu Belig Beach
The quietest and deserted beach in this list, and therefore so lovely. Batu Belig, just above Kerobokan (Seminyak), has hardly any beach bars, nobody comes by to sell you anything, and during the sunset, you will not be disturbed by crowds of tourists with selfie sticks. It’s the simplicity and tranquility that makes Batu Belig one of my favorites in Bali!
