Treatments for epiphyseal plate resection: Children are not just miniature adults. We are experts in treating diseases or injuries near the growth areas of a child’s bones (epiphyseal plates).
Innovative Care Programs – Our Spinal Fusion Surgical Home program is the first pediatric program of its kind in the country. We provide safe, effective, and family-centered care for children undergoing spinal straightening surgery (after spinal fusion) with a multidisciplinary team that coordinates all aspects of treatment and recovery, and helps to have the children go home as soon as possible.
Laparoscopic techniques: when surgery is necessary, we try to use the least invasive technique possible. Laparoscopic surgery means that children have less pain and a shorter recovery period.
