What Are Electric Boilers?
An electric boil is a large tank having an inlet or outlet. Electricity is supplied from the main source of electricity in the houses and warm these boilers to a greater temperature. When it reaches maximum temperature, the water moves from the boilers to the rest of the house. The inlet allows cool water to be warmed again by the boiler to be sent out again.
Electric boilers are efficient because it does not need any exhaust flue. When gases are burnt in the house, it releases those gases along with the wastes from the heat of the boiler. But this is not the case with electric boilers as there is no emission of waste. That makes it 99% efficient, a number not to be reached by fossil fuel solutions.
These boilers can be installed anywhere in the homes as they don’t have any flue and they don’t have to be put near a wall also. They can be positioned in the center or anywhere you like. This saves up a lot of space and it does not need any kind of fuel tank installation. Space is allowed to the fuel as well.
Cons of Electric Boilers
These boilers also have certain disadvantages as there is a limit to hot water produced and is costly. Some of the cons are:
Low Heating Capacity
Electric boilers do not provide much heating resistance capacity as burning gas does. You will not have enough heating for your home if heating requirements are large in your homes. If you have a large home, you have to rely on burning gas.
Relying on electricity for heating water means more expenditure on electricity. Even if chances are your boiler will use heat efficiently but for producing the same amount of heat, you will be paying more money in many instances.
Do Not Work in Power Outages
If there is a power cut in your house, you cannot rely on electric boilers then. You have to wait for the current to come back to heat water.
Electric boilers are very easy to maintain as there is no residue to clean after warming water. The only maintenance you need is the clearing of debris brought by water into the system. You need a clear solution to clean the same.
